Zineb Hattab is a Spanish-Moroccan chef who is renowned for her innovative vegan cuisine.
Born in Blanes, Girona, in 1989 to a Moroccan family, Zineb Hattab left her job as an engineer to pursue her dream of becoming a chef. She trained at renowned establishments such as Massimo Bottura's Osteria Francescana and El Celler de Can Roca. In January 2020, she opened KLE in Zurich, her first vegan restaurant. It quickly received 14 points from Gault Millau and a Michelin green star, making Zineb the first vegan chef in Switzerland to receive this recognition.
She subsequently opened DAR in 2021 and COR in 2023, further expanding her plant-based culinary offerings. In 2022, KLE was awarded a Michelin star. Hattab has also been recognised as one of the 50 chefs who will shape the future of global gastronomy.
