Eli Farrero
Chef at El Ventador (Barruera, Alta Ribagorça, Lleida)
In the heart of the Romanesque Vall de Boí, Farrero manages to capture the spirit of the Pyrenees through innovation.
Elisabet Farrero was born in Alta Ribagorça (Lleida) but moved to Barcelona to study Humanities. In 2012 she returned to her native Barruera and together with her mother started the El Ventador project, which began as a simple wine and tapas bar.
A year after opening, Pierre Cosnard, Eli's partner, joined the project, with whom he started the current restaurant.The following autumn, Farrero trained at Albert Raurich's Dos Palillos* (Barcelona) and established the restaurant's gastronomic proposal, which is based on local and seasonal products from the Alt Pirineu from a personal point of view.
In June 2022 she was awarded the Revelation Chef prize by the Catalan Academy of Gastronomy and Nutrition.
