Sven Wassmer produces a perfect combination of traditional techniques and contemporary innovation, creating a totally harmonious style of cooking.
Even as a child he was keen on cooking, a passion that became a profession and has won him a number of awards. In 2017 GaultMillau acclaimed him as "Rising Star 2018", when he had already won two Michelin stars.
But the turning point in his career was when he took over two of the restaurants at Grand Resort bad Ragaz in Switzerland. Wassmer created two concepts on the basis of his Swiss roots. First, his signature restaurant Memories, a fine-dining restaurant that celebrates the culinary treasures of the Alps, which won him the coveted three Michelin stars as well as the green Michelin star in 2022. The second restaurant, verve by sven, adapts to the latest trends in health and lifestyle, with healthy sustainable food with no concessions made to taste and pleasure.
Sven's cuisine features local seasonal produce, and this has enabled him to establish close links to local farmers and producers, thereby cultivating a deep connection to the land.
